Sandpaper is used to level and smooth the surface to be treated, i.e. the main objective is to remove visible damage to the wood. In this way, chemicals such as sealers and lacquers will be applied efficiently.
To achieve the quality that the work requires, it is necessary to carry out a good sanding.
Types and characteristics of wood sandpaper
Coarse grain: to remove paint or other elements on the surface. Values between 40-80.
Medium grain: to smooth the surface. Between 80-180
Fine grain: finishing applications. From 180-300
Superfine grain: used to give the finishing touches to the last coat of the finish or to alter the gloss. From 300 and up.
