Quick change discs

Both in sandpaper and fiber, the quick-change discs perfectly fulfill the function of providing surface finishes when it is necessary to carry out an operation with intensity and in record time. With them we can achieve an unbeatable quality in roughing jobs.

Types of quick-change sanding discs

Quick change sanding discs are made with the highest quality bonding between their backings, which allows for ideal time efficiency during operation. A cuttable plastic backing allows it to last five to ten times longer than cloth or vulcanized fiber backings. Because of this extended durability, quick-change discs are often the most economical and efficient choice.

Our discs are micro bonded and adhesive based, so they are quick to change and very safe for your operators. They can be made of different types of minerals such as aluminum oxide, ceramic, carbide and zirconia fiber.

Quick change sanding discs made of zirconia are very useful for grinding steel, stainless steel, welding or casting. Therefore, they are popular in the metalworking, stainless steel, foundry and mold making industries.

Quick change discs made of silicon carbide are useful for sanding stone, concrete, glass, fiberglass, cast iron, ceramic, marble and rubber.

How to use quick-change discs

For your operators' protection, our quick-change discs lock securely in place with only a half-turn. When rotated again, with another half turn, they will automatically shut off.

These discs are designed to be easily and quickly discarded and exchanged for new ones during the course of operation, avoiding waiting time between changes. They provide a fast and efficient method for grinding, mixing and leveling all types of metal.

Quick change discs are used in manual or portable grinders, polishers or mototools, either pneumatic or electric. The pneumatic ones use an air compressor with enough power to achieve the necessary speed to carry out their operation. The quick change discs can also be used in a polishing machine that provides a variable speed.

Grain type in abrasives

The grit type of our sandpaper will generate a specific result depending on the grit type chosen. Coarser grits are represented by lower numbers and are for detail and hard surfaces. On the other hand, coarser grits have higher numbers and are usually the best choice for fast sanding and large surfaces.
